I just bought a new car. She’s no Jeep, in fact she’s really small—but she’s so cute and I love her a lot! She’s a 2006 Toyota Camry. Her name is Dakota, translated to friend or allies.
I’ve driven nothing but my 2001 Jeep Cherokee for over two years, so the change will be very different, almost surreal. But I’m excited because change is good! And different/new is good. I don’t like change, in fact it’s really scary; and I think that 90% of people would agree with me. But we can all agree that change is always for the better.
Golly, I must be growing up if I’m excited about a new, smaller, more reliable vehicle. Iye; what the heck, I’m totally psyched!
Dakota and I are going to be BFF’s—I mean, I might as well send out good vibes into the universe now right? She and I will have lots of bonding time while I drive her across the country in a few weeks too, which will be good because a new relationship takes lots of work and patience.
Well, Dakota; welcome to my girl club. Population; You & me, baby. It’s going to be a swell time.
My Tuesday Night at 12:52am Ted Talk will be really really short:
I am ready to be back home in the wonderful state I call Virginia, and in the cute little town I call Buena Vista tucked away in the Shenandoah Valley.
To the dear Southern Virginia University,
wait up for me! This sophomore is on her way!
August is coming; and it’s going to be GREAT!
